Cream Cheese Frosting


This cream cheese frosting was delicious on top of a carrot cake we made recently. With a somewhat thin layer of frosting (which is all we or our guests care for), it worked perfectly for a three-layer 9-inch round cake.


250 grams (8 ounces) cream cheese

1/4 cup butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions and Notes:

In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients until evenly combined.

For a fluffier frosting, beat with an electric mixer. I just put all of my ingredients into a food processor and mixed them together for about a minute. It made a great, creamy frosting.
