Hearty Cowboy Burgers {Broiled}

Standard

These burgers were thick and hearty. Best of all, they didn’t require a grill– something we don’t have at our home here in China. These were quick and easy to prepare and were a big hit at our recent Wild Wild West dinner!Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef

2 cloves of garlic, minced

2 Tablespoons olive oil

3/4 – 1 teaspoon salt (as desired, to taste)

1/2 – 1 teaspoon black pepper (as desired, to taste)

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

cheese (optional)

4-5 hamburger rolls, like the rolls in this post

Directions and Notes:
1. Mix the beef, garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and basil together.

2. Shape into 4-5 patties.

3. Broil for 2-3 minutes on a wire rack over a baking sheet to catch drips. Flip and broil another 2-3 minutes. Check for done-ness and cook a little longer if necessary. If adding cheese, put the cheese on top and cook another 30-45 seconds.

4. Serve on hamburger rolls with desired toppings.

Patty seasoning recipe just slightly adapted from AllRecipes.
