1/2 cup sesame seeds
1- 1 1/2 Tablespoons olive oil
Directions and Notes:
Toast the sesame seeds in the oven or on the stove top. Be careful; they burn easily.
Blend the sesame seeds and oil in a food processor until a thick paste is formed, scraping the edges of the processor often. Start with just a little oil and add more if needed.
I use this tahini for making batches of hummus, and sometimes the tahini isn’t perfectly smooth, or even close, but it still gives the right flavor and becomes more blended as the hummus is processed.
