Green Bean Casserole

Standard

Ingredients:

4 1/2 cups cooked green beans

2-3 cups french fried onions as desired, such as the homemade french fried onions from this post

1 teaspoon soy sauce

3 cups cream of mushroom soup (I used a homemade version that was really thick. If using a runnier version, this may need to be reduced)

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 cup milk

Directions & Notes:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Stir the green beans, soy sauce, cream of mushroom soup, ground back pepper, milk, and 1/2 of the french fried onions in a 9 x 13 dish.

3. Bake for 25 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling. Remove from oven. Stir. Add more milk according to preference if it does not look sufficiently creamy. Sprinkle the other half of the onions on top and bake for 5-10 more minutes until the onions are golden brown.
