1 pound lean pork, ground
3/4 teaspoons salt (or to taste)
3/4 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
Notes & Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine meat with all of the spices. Cook a small piece over medium heat until cooked through and taste to see if more salt is desired.
Cook the rest of the meat over medium heat. Great to use as ground sausage or to form into sausage patties and cook on the frying pan for breakfast or snack.
